Truck Driver/Mover

Job Title: Driver (CDL A or B)

Hollander Moving, a reputable moving and storage company based in Elk Grove Village, IL, is seeking a skilled and experienced Driver with a CDL A or B license to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong safety record, excellent driving skills, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Drive company vehicles, including box trucks and tractor trailers, to transport goods to and from locations
• Follow directions and instructions from team leaders and supervisors
• Load and unload household goods and personal belongings onto and off trucks
• Pack and unpack items, ensuring they are properly secured and protected
• Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner
• Handle delicate and fragile items with care
• Adhere to safety procedures and regulations
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including logs and trip reports
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• CDL A or B license with a clean driving record
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a commercial driver, preferably in the moving industry
• Physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy objects, up to 75 pounds
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
