• Job Title: Cath Lab Registered Nurse
• Location: Mount Vernon, IL 62864 (Southern Illinois healthcare jobs)
• Facility Setting: Hospital – Cardiac Catheterization Lab
• Assignment Type: Travel RN contract
• Start Date: October 13, 2025
• End Date: January 12, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 5x8-Hour Day Shifts (07:00 – 15:30)
• Weekly Hours: 40 (Guaranteed)
• On-Call: Required (at least 12 shifts/month, evenings and weekends)
• Weekend Requirement: Rotating weekends as needed
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2750–$2820

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Illinois or compact state)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Cath Lab RN experience
• Certifications: ACLS, BCLS (American Heart Association preferred)
• Proficient in conscious sedation, diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures
• EPIC electronic charting experience required
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Ability to participate in on-call rotation (evenings and weekends)
• Not accepting local candidates within a 70-mile radius of Mount Vernon, IL

Cath Lab RN Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in a modern, 2-room Cardiac Catheterization Lab
• Assist with left/right heart catheterizations, pacemaker and loop recorder insertions, and peripheral interventions
• Monitor and administer procedural sedation for cardiac procedures
• Operate and maintain specialized equipment: IABP, Impella, CSI, Rotapro, Angioget, IVUS, Coroflow
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EMR
• Participate in on-call coverage and weekend rotations as required by the healthcare facility
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
