Agronomy Technology Specialist - Evergreen FS - Bloomington, IL

Salary: 55,000-65,000/year
Overview:
As a member of the Agronomy Technology team this position is responsible for supporting Agronomy Technology efforts. This position will look at field imagery during the summer months to identify problems and communicate those to users. During the rest of the year this position will support Agronomy Technology through platform marketing, user setup, trainings, and sales. This position will have the opportunity to work with cutting edge and emerging technology, leverage the latest techniques in data acquisition and analytics, and have a wide variety of opportunities for professional development.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to understand and train users on Agronomy software platforms, along with other Precision Agronomy tools.
- Develop real-time, actionable agronomic insights by analyzing imagery within the Agtrinsic platform.
- Ability to communicate effectively over the phone, email and in person with personnel about imagery concerns, or general Agtrinsic support.
- Support Agronomy Technology Team and objectives with management and planning of the Agtrinsic platform for internal and external use.
- Assist with the internal and external promotion of Agtrinsic through marketing support and other products determined to be a fit for the company and its customers.
- Assist crop sales team with management of MiField trials from planting to the collection of harvest data by utilizing precision technology and other agronomic tools.
- Provide training to employees on field boundaries (Agvance, IFARM, FieldAlytics, Climate, etc.) and assist locations with boundary management.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Prefer a bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness or another Agriculture related degree from an accredited college or university; and 1-2 years related experience and or training with an Ag retailer; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be able to work unsupervised, be self-motivated, working extended hours, and on-call as business conditions warrant.
Effectively utilize various software programs including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Agtrinsic, Agvance, Climate FieldAlytics, and IFARM.
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
Daily independent travel within the trade area with occasional overnight stays.
Ability to work extended hours as business conditions warrant. - Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
