Quality Inspector - Metal Finishing

QUALITYINSPECTOR Dynomax is growing and expanding! We are seeking aQualityInspectorwith a keen eye for detail and hands-on manufacturing experience. This is a great opportunity to join our1stShift (8:00 am to 4:30 pm)Metal Finishingteam. Scope of the Quality Inspector role: This position requires employees to inspect or test finished materials to ensure conformance to specifications following a variety of metal finishing processes. The position will require the employee to use precision measuring instruments, test equipment, and to record inspection results appropriately. Inspect and measure materials to verify conformance to a work instruction, customer specification, or drawing. Notify supervisors and personnel responsible about products ormaterialsnot meeting specifications in accordance to standard operating procedures. Record inspection data and mark items with details on acceptance or rejection status and follow procedures for non-conforming product. Notify supervisors or other personnel about production problems. Appropriately package and prepare parts for the next operation required at Dynomax or outside processing. Use XRF for plated components to determine plating thickness. Quality Inspector Job Requirements: Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking the English language. Plating experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills. Ableto handle large parts upwards of 50 lbs for short periods. Able to work at a microscope and handle miniature sized parts using tweezers and other small hand tools. 1 year+ of manufacturing experience as a machine operator or inspector. Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Experience working in a NADCAP environment is a plus.
