Personnel Coordinator
Reports to:
Director of Northwest Special Education Cooperative
Job Goal:
To assist the Director and employees in providing timely and accurate information relative to personnel, insurance, purchasing, inventory of all types, and Northwest Academy office processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
– High School Diploma |
– Successful experience employee benefits and personnel, school business or related field |
– A working knowledge of office procedures, administrative functions, and Microsoft Office, especially the creation and programming of EXCEL worksheets |
Desired Qualifications:
– A working knowledge of Medicaid |
– A working knowledge of insurance processes and procedures |
– Prior secretarial experience in a school-based office setting |
– Basic understanding of technology processes, including but not limited to SMART phones, iPad, laptops |
Responsibilities:
– Maintains current personnel records, including current job descriptions, evaluations, associated correspondence, and quarterly vacancy reporting. |
– Assists new employees in filling out needed paperwork, scheduling of fingerprinting, photo identification, etc. |
– Under direction of the Director, maintains current employee handbook and Northwest Academy handbook. |
– Prepares and maintains records and reports relating to personnel insurance records according to HIPAA regulations. |
– Completes activities and records associated with additional benefits, including but not limited to COBRA and vision/dental insurance |
– Serves as secretary for Northwest Academy, completing activities including but not limited to attendance, lunch counts and WINS system reporting, file maintenance, etc. |
– Under the direction of the Director, maintains and updates technology inventory (both hardware and software) on an on-going basis |
– Assists staff with basic technology-related issues and makes referrals to other entities for assistance as appropriate |
– Maintains and updates protocol inventory/check-out |
– Completes activities associated with acquisition of supplies for the Cooperative, including purchase and reconciliation of bills |
– With the direction of administration, coordinates professional development activities relative to the Cooperative, including but not limited to records keeping and conference registration |
– In conjunction with other office staff, assists in carrying out the day-to-day operations necessary to the smooth fiscal function of the Cooperative. |
– Performs in a confidential manner all assigned tasks involving students, families, district staff and Northwest personnel. |
– Performs all other duties and assumes other responsibilities as assigned by the Director. |
Terms of Employment:
Twelve month classified position with salary and hours to be determined by the Northwest Special Education Cooperative Advisory Board.
Evaluation:
Performance will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions established by the Advisory Board.
