As the Surface Finishing Supervisor for powder coating, you set the tone for safety, quality, and delivery. You’ll coach a 13–20 person team on first shift, keep the line humming, and ensure every component leaves with a flawless, spec-compliant finish.

- Plan and direct daily powder coat operations to meet production and quality goals.
- Develop people: train, coach, and evaluate operators; standardize best practices.
- Ensure line start-up/shutdown and safety procedures are consistently followed.
- Validate masking, plugging, loading, and unloading are executed per spec.
- Inspect finish against paint-class and customer standards; correct deviations quickly.
- Partner with production, quality, and leadership to maintain schedule adherence.
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to cut downtime and defects.
- Oversee packaging, labeling, and inventory movements that meet customer requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement with a zero-defect mindset using Lean and Kaizen.
- Uphold OSHA and company policies for a safe, clean work area.
- 2–3 years of powder coating operations with hands-on spraying/application experience.
- 2–3 years of supervisory/lead responsibility for teams of 8–12 or more.
- Strong communication and organization; comfortable with email and ERP systems.
- Ability to read/write in English for safety and quality documentation.
- Physical ability to lift up to 35 lbs and stand for a full shift.
- Forklift skills and familiarity with conveyor or batch-oven coating.
- Experience with ERP or production scheduling tools.
- Background in OEM or ISO 9001 environments.
- $31–$40/hr DOE (annualized $65K–$85K).
