HVAC Commercial Service Technician

Location: Crystal Lake, IL (Local Job Sites)
Job Type: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Flexible Hours | No On-Call
Pay: $30 – $50/hour (based on experience) + Overtime + Company Truck + Benefits

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems (RTUs, air handlers, unit heaters, condensers, furnaces)
• Perform preventative maintenance and occasional emergency service
• Replace or install motors, thermostats, compressors, and electrical controls
• Use diagnostic tools and gauges to assess system performance and record findings
• Communicate effectively with office staff and clients
• Mentor junior technicians or apprentices as needed
• Follow safety protocols and mechanical codes

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of commercial HVAC experience
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record
• Dependable transportation to and from shop (company truck provided for daily work)
• Own set of basic and job-specific tools
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Professional, reliable, and team-oriented attitude
