Job Summary

WGLT Student Operations and Engineering Assistant supports various parts of the audio chain at WGLT and WCBU twin NPR stations based at Illinois State University.

The position will work closely with the Chief Engineer to maintain the radio stations studio spaces automation and traffic systems and other hardware and software along the radio chain between studio and transmitter site.

This position will also support the Chief Engineer for installations deployments and other special projects.

Preferred Qualifications

-- Familiarity with radio stations operations including automation systems such as WideOrbit.
-- Technical experience surrounding audio and video production.
-- Work experience at a radio station including a student-run radio station.

Illinois State University student employees are restricted to no more than 28 hours per week of on-campus employment for all positions held.
