Occupational Therapist Job Details

• Job Title: Locum Tenens Occupational Therapist (Travel Rehab Services)
• Location: Dixon, Illinois 61021
• Employment Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Contract
• Healthcare Setting: 50% Inpatient Acute Care, 50% Outpatient (option for pediatric or adult outpatient therapy)
• Shift: 8-hour days, Monday–Friday (9:00am–5:30pm or 10:00am–6:30pm)
• Hours: 40 hours per week, no weekends or holidays
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 9/15/2025 – End: 12/15/2025)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week (excluding orientation)
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2,370–$2,430

Occupational Therapist Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapist license in Illinois (required for Illinois healthcare jobs)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist
• Experience in inpatient, outpatient, and home health therapy settings
• Lymphedema certification preferred, but not required
• Familiarity with Cerner Community Works (inpatient/outpatient EMR) and Kinnser (home health charting) preferred
• Ability to treat a broad range of diagnoses: pediatrics, geriatrics, orthopedic, neurological, fall risk, and general weakness
• Compliance with drug-free campus policy (negative drug screen required)

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and deliver treatments in inpatient, outpatient, and home health settings
• Manage a caseload of 6–10 patients per day, depending on assignment area
• Collaborate with Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) for patient care
• Document all patient care activities using Cerner and Kinnser EMR systems
• Participate in department orientation and ongoing clinical education
• Deliver high-quality care to diverse patient populations, including pediatric and adult patients
• Maintain professional dress code: black, navy, or royal blue scrubs, or business casual attire
• Flexibility to cover at least two therapy areas (inpatient/home health, inpatient/outpatient ortho, lymphedema, etc.)
