Telemetry RN Job Details

• Location: Belleville, Illinois (62226) – Greater St. Louis area
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care Hospital, Telemetry Unit (2 Northeast)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• End Date: December 8, 2025
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (06:45 – 19:15), 3 shifts per week
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2020 - $2080
• Floating: Required to all inpatient units at Belleville and Memorial East campuses
• Charting System: EPIC
• Scrub Color: Navy
• Parking: Free on-site parking

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and valid Illinois RN license (required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry Registered Nurse experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
• Proficient in cardiac telemetry, cardiac drip management (no titration), sheath pulls, and central line management
• Experience with EPIC electronic charting
• Ability to float to all inpatient units as needed
• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius from Belleville, IL
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)

Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients on a busy telemetry unit (nurse-to-patient ratios 1:5-6)
• Care for patients with TAVR, cardiac catheterization, CABG, and critical care cardiac drips
• Perform sheath pulls, central line management, and post-operative open heart care
• Conduct bedside shift reports with patient involvement every shift
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Float to other inpatient units at Belleville and Memorial East campuses as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC
• Comply with hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards
