• Job Title: Travel Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)
• Location: Alton, Illinois (62002) – Greater St. Louis Area
• Assignment Type: Travel/Contract (Locum Tenens)
• Unit: Intermediate Care Unit – Telemetry
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts weekly (19:00 - 07:30)
• Contract Length: 12 weeks (Start: 09/08/2025 – End: 12/01/2025)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2020 - $2080
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Patient Ratio: Nights 1:6
• EMR: EPIC
• Scrub Color: Navy
• Parking: Free on-site

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois (required at submission)
• At least 1 year of recent Telemetry or Intermediate Care nursing experience
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (required)
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Ability to float to other units as needed
• Must live outside a 75-mile radius of Alton, IL
• Weekend and on-call coverage required
• References preferred at time of application

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to adult patients needing cardiac monitoring, including pre- and post-cardiac catheterization and pacemaker care
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage dysrhythmias, and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition
• Care for patients with chest pain, shortness of breath, COPD, diabetes, hypertension, renal failure, and post-stroke (CVA)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, rapid response)
• Float to other hospital units within scope as required
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR
• Participate in weekend and on-call rotations
