This is a leadership-level opportunity for an experienced and motivated mechanic to take ownership of a shop and help shape its standards and culture. You’ll be supported by an operations team that values integrity, craftsmanship, and structure — and you’ll have the tools and autonomy to lead from the front.

You’ll have direct impact on a $7–8 million late-model fleet serving high-volume snow and maintenance operations in the greater Chicagoland area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of 2–3 mechanics across two branches
• Prioritize and assign repairs based on operational urgency
• Perform hands-on diagnostics and repair work across light-duty to heavy-duty vehicles
• Inspect and verify all shop work for quality and safety
• Maintain shop inventory and supply levels to prevent downtime

Qualifications:

• Proven experience working on pickups, semis, diesel engines, and small equipment
• Electrical diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Familiarity with late-model equipment (2016–2018 and newer)
• Ability to lead a team, set shop standards, and train junior mechanics
• Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable
• Positive, collaborative attitude

Compensation and Benefits:

• Base salary: $75,000–$90,000
• Standard benefits package
• Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–4:30 PM schedule
• On-site role in Bartlett, IL with some travel to McHenry
