Business Development Representative – Construction Vertical
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Representative to join our team with a specialized focus on the construction vertical . This is a high-impact, outcome-oriented position that is crucial to the success and growth of our operations within the construction industry.

The Opportunity
As a Business Development Representative focused on the construction vertical , you’ll report to and work closely with the Commercial Sales Manager , focusing on building and maintaining relationships with construction-related businesses and contractors. You will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by acquiring new commercial clients and nurturing existing relationships in the construction sector. You’ll be the go-to expert in helping construction companies handle debris removal, equipment hauling, and site clean-ups in a fast-paced, results-driven industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Maximize growth in the construction sector by developing and nurturing meaningful relationships with contractors, construction companies, and project managers to generate account value.
Manage the full sales cycle for construction-focused commercial clients – from prospecting and cold calls to estimates, follow-up, and account management.
Source new business opportunities by following up on inbound leads and proactively making outbound cold calls and emails to construction-related businesses.
Understand the specific needs of the construction industry , including job site cleanups, debris removal, and equipment disposal, and tailor solutions to meet these needs.
Work closely with our National Accounts and Strategic Alliances team to target major construction accounts and increase sales in this vertical.
Use our CRM system (Salesforce) to track sales activity, customer interactions, and ensure accurate reporting.
Stay informed about the construction industry trends, competitors, and local marketplace to offer the best solutions to your clients.
What You Bring To The Company:
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in B2B sales, ideally with a focus on construction-related services or industries .
Proven success in developing and increasing sales within existing accounts and attracting new clients, particularly within the construction vertical.
Ability to effectively present value-based solutions tailored to the unique needs of construction businesses.
A proven track record of meeting and exceeding aggressive sales targets .
Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with construction professionals effectively, both in person and via digital channels.
A positive attitude, persistence, and the competitive drive to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
Strong proficiency in G Suite and Salesforce to manage and report on sales activity.
