responsibilities:

• Independently plan, execute, and troubleshoot high-throughput genomic workflows, with a primary focus on microarray-based genotyping platforms.
• Operate and maintain automated liquid-handling systems to ensure consistent data quality, robustness, and operational throughput.
• Perform rigorous data quality control (QC), identifying root causes for any failures and implementing corrective actions to ensure data integrity.
• Document all experimental designs, execution details, and outcomes in strict accordance with laboratory and data governance standards.
• Translate complex genomic data into clear reports and presentations to guide decision-making for cross-functional stakeholders and project leadership.
• Collaborate with bioinformatics collaborators and therapeutic area stakeholders to drive reverse translation initiatives forward.
• Manage reagent inventories and contribute to the development, revision, and continuous improvement of laboratory SOPs and new technology validation.

qualifications:

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Genetics, Genomics, Molecular Biology, or a related field (with 2+ years of relevant experience) OR Master's degree in Genetics/Genomics (with relevant hands-on laboratory experience).
• Demonstrated ability to independently execute and troubleshoot genomic laboratory workflows.
• Proven experience generating, assessing, and analyzing quality metrics of genomic data sets.
• Strong working knowledge of genetics and genomics principles.
• Experience operating and troubleshooting high-throughput and automated laboratory workflows.
• High attention to detail with a strong data ownership mindset.
• Ability to contribute to the development, revision, and continuous improvement of laboratory procedures.

Preferred Skills

• Experience generating genotyping data using microarray platforms and performing associated data QC.
• Experience with NGS library preparation, sequencing, and primary data QC.
• Experience with nucleic acid QC, sample tracking, and LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems).
• Prior experience in a high-throughput industry or centralized genomics core laboratory environment.
