Our client is a full-service sheet metal fabricator located in the St. Charles, IL area. They are looking for Press Brake Setup Operators.

Pay will be based on experience but can range $25-$29/hour. 1st and 2nd shift available

Job Duties:

• Operates Computer Numerical Control (CNC) on respective Amada, Trumpf, Cincinnati, Bystronics, Salvagnini, Mitsubishi, brand equipment
• Performs machine set-ups, adjusts and loads tooling, and makes changes at the controls for parts as required for specifications outlined in blueprints, drawings, engineering orders, etc.
• Check parts for conformance to prescribed tolerances
• Report problems with quality, processes, equipment, and/or materials to the Supervisor or Quality
• Control Specialist (QC)
• Set up and operate the machine independently with limited supervision
• Ensure the work area is kept clean and free from hazards
• Collaborate with other departments as needed
• Assist in departmental measurable goals relating to production concerns, quality, and efficiency
• Assist in the monthly inventory count to ensure proper inventory control
• Actively look for ways to improve the profitability and productivity of the company

Skills and Experience Required:

• High School diploma or GED
• CAD or drafting experience is a plus
• Must have Press Brake Experience (1-2 years minimum experience)
• Experience with Amada HDS, HG Press Brakes, or Cincinnati Press Brakes is a plus
• Must be able to work at a fast pace, follow instructions, and be self-motivated
• Requires excellent math skills including fractions and geometry
• Requires ability to read measuring equipment, calipers, and other tools
• Requires the ability to read blueprints and calculate bend allowances
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Must work well with others
• Ensure and verify parts match customer drawings
• Provide immediate feedback when problems occur
