Lead Guidewire Developer (Jutro)
We are hiring a Lead Guidewire Developer with Jutro experience to join our team on a remote basis!
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business partners across the organization to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.
- Work closely with product teams during backlog refinement, estimation, and planning activities.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy application enhancements with varying levels of complexity and risk.
- Prepare and execute unit testing for all new and modified code in alignment with team and organizational standards.
- Participate in troubleshooting, resolution, and communication of application and production issues, including urgent incidents.
- Collaborate with peers to conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, flowcharts, and data flow diagrams, to clearly communicate application designs and changes.
- Partner with product and change control teams to ensure high-quality, timely releases.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvements and automation at the product team level.
- Ensure timely delivery of assigned work, proactively communicating risks, delays, and roadblocks to team members and leadership.
- Flex into non-core responsibilities as needed to support customer and project commitments.
- Occasionally collaborate with external vendors to support application delivery or issue resolution.
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Proven experience across the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, unit testing, and implementation.
- Hands-on experience working with Guidewire Digital, including the Guidewire Jutro/React framework.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot complex application issues and explain solutions clearly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to answer complex technical questions related to application design, development, testing, and support.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $75.00 - $90.00/hr.
