About the Role
As an Account Executive Intern, you’ll be a key driver of Countercyclical’s growth within investment research & due diligence software buyer markets. You’ll own and expand relationships with leading investment firms, research teams, individual investors, and corporate development groups — helping them modernize their research and decision-making workflows.
You’ll manage the full enterprise sales cycle, from developing strategic account plans and initiating new opportunities, to structuring bespoke commercial agreements and ensuring smooth onboarding. Your work will directly influence how top investment minds generate alpha and operate at scale. You’re also comfortable collaborating on marketing materials, GTM campaigns, and customer success stories that drive awareness and trust in new markets. You think in systems — how a great experience, a well-crafted deck, and a satisfied client referral loop all reinforce brand equity and long-term growth.
About You

Minimum Requirements
- 2.5+ years in a prior sales role, ideally with exposure to financial institutions or B2B data / analytics / software products
- Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and negotiate tailored interations with executive stakeholders
- Create compelling sales collateral (Figma, Canva, etc.), thought leadership content, and client-facing materials that communicate our value across research, diligence, and intelligence workflows.
- Lead client referral and advocacy initiatives to further build Countercyclical’s presence within the investment and research community, cultivating champions and peer introductions across firms.
- Deep understanding of investment research, due diligence, or market intelligence workflows and the challenges faced by institutional investors or corporate strategists
- Strong communication skills, with comfort leading in-person discussions with C-level or investment committee-level stakeholders
- Data-driven approach to pipeline management and forecasting
- Thrives in a fast-moving, early-stage environment with high ambiguity and ownership
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling productivity, research, or analytics software into capital markets, investment research, due diligence, or corporate development teams
- Familiarity with institutional procurement and enterprise contracting cycles
- Track record of building new market motions or driving 0-to-1 sales initiatives
- Executive presence with the ability to influence and align multiple stakeholders across technical, analytical, and business functions
- Passion for improving how investment and research teams work — through better software, data, and design

We use a flexible work model of 3-5 days downtown per week.
