About This Role
As a Field Engineer Intern, you will be crucial to ALC’s business through assisting the field commissioning of building automation systems created specifically for each individual customer. We are looking for a team member who is self-motivated, detail oriented, and is customer focused. You will work on solving increasingly complex problems.
Key Responsibilities
Assist to Initiate, install, troubleshoot optimize customer systems that utilize advanced Direct Digital Control technology.
Assist to provide turnkey project delivery on small to medium projects.
Assist to ensure that systems operate properly, to include controls, sensors, and software.
Assist loading software, configuring trends, alarms, and reports.
Implement time management strategies to ensure customer satisfaction.
Communicate and document the status and details of the project to the internal team.
Basic Qualifications
Must be currently Pursuing an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration Technology.
Must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Must be a US Citizen or able to work in the US without sponsorship
Must be capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment over 8 feet above grade and capable of lifting items up to 50lbs.
Possess and maintain valid and current Driver’s License and be insurable by our company’s insurance carrier
Preferred Qualifications
Team player with a positive attitude.
Competency with Microsoft software including Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Competent verbal and written communicator.
Aptitude for translating technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Able to balance multiple concurrent priorities.
Aptitude for problem solving.
Time management skills including the ability to estimate time required to complete tasks and deliver on the committed timeline.
Ability to report to assigned work location reliably.
