Employment Type: Contract, Part-time
Hours: 27.5 hours a week maximum
Hourly Rate : $35 - $45
Position Summary:
Responsible for planning and preparation of grant proposals, applications, and coordination of process including: identification of potential new funding sources, development of funding resources for existing and proposed programs, writing grants, developing budgets, and collaboration on grant applications with Club management/staff. Monitors the ongoing financial management of grants (i.e. preparation, adjustments, expenditures) for the purpose of complying with all program and funding guidelines of awarding organizations.
Key Roles:
Strategic Planning
- Prepares written proposals supported by sound research and data, develops presentation materials.
- Prepares and submits grant reports as required by the funding entity.
- Facilitates communication of grant processes and requirements, maintains a functional grant management system.
Resource Management
- Collaborates with finance and programs teams and monitors grant award compliance to ensure funding is expended in accordance with foundation and/or government agency requirements and that reporting is accurate and timely.
- Continually improving the ability to understand the requirements imposed by granting agencies and foundations across departments and create and implement systems that serve those requirements.
- Monitors foundation, city, state, and federal grant income as it relates to annual revenue goals.
- Coordinates with Finance Services Director to prepare budgets and income projections.
Partnership Development
- Represents the Club at a variety of community events and functions, as required.

Relationships
- Internal: Maintains close, daily contact with Club staff (professional and volunteer), Club members, and supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain or interpret guidelines/instructions.
- External: Maintains contact as needed with external community groups, schools, members’ parents, and others to assist in resolving problems.
Knowledge, Education, Experience & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, non-profit management, social services, or related field preferred (or pursuing degree in related field).
- 2+ years of project coordination and grant writing experience.
- Exceptional time management skills.
- Excellent MS Office skills (specifically Excel).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Detail and deadline oriented and comfortable performing multi-faceted projects.
- Integrity in dealing with confidential staff and member information.
- Ability to work independently.
- Preferred experience in non-profit organizations and afterschool programs.
