 Compensation: $17-18 hour (based on experience)

Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Office Associate to join our Chicago-based medical office. The ideal candidate will play a key role in patient engagement and administrative support, including billing and insurance tasks. Key Responsibilities:
Patient Engagement:
Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner.
Assist with check-in/check-out procedures, including verifying personal and insurance information.
Schedule appointments, follow-ups, and manage cancellations or rescheduling.
Respond promptly to patient inquiries via phone, email, or in-person.
Administrative and Billing Support:
Collect co-pays, process payments, and provide receipts.
Submit and track insurance claims, ensuring timely resolution of billing issues.
Verify insurance coverage and pre-authorizations as needed.
Generate billing statements and support patients with billing-related questions.
Maintain accurate and updated patient records in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Office Operations:
Ensure smooth daily operations by maintaining organized schedules and files.
Monitor office supplies and assist in reordering when necessary.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception and waiting areas.
Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure patient flow is efficient and timely.
Compliance and Confidentiality:
Follow HIPAA regulations and office policies to ensure patient information remains confidential.
Stay up to date on best practices for patient data management and billing procedures.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent (required); additional certifications in medical billing or administration (preferred).
Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting, including billing and insurance tasks (preferred).
Skills:
Strong proficiency with EMR systems and billing software.
Knowledge of medical billing, coding, and insurance claims processes.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy office setting.

Work Schedule:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday with occasional weekends depending on office needs.
Compensation and Benefits:
