Server Assistant – The Grill on 21 (PM/Night Availability)

The Grill on 21, located inside The LaSalle, An Autograph Collection hotel, is a refined dining destination featuring an open, exhibition-style kitchen that brings energy and excitement to the guest experience. Set in the heart of Chicago’s financial district, The Grill on 21 attracts professionals, seasoned travelers, and local residents seeking an elevated yet welcoming dining atmosphere.

We are seeking a Server Assistant to join our front-of-house team. In this role, you will support our servers in delivering warm, attentive, and seamless hospitality while helping maintain the flow of service in our busy dining room. We are looking for PM Availability.

• Experience: Previous experience in a full-service restaurant preferred

• Guest Focus: Ability to ensure tables are clean, stocked, and ready while assisting with delivering food and beverages

• Team Player: Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and reliability in a fast-paced environment

• Work Ethic: Attention to detail and a commitment to supporting the front-of-house team

• Flexibility: Availability to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

• Ability to stand and walk for 5–10 hours per shift

• Safely move throughout all areas of the restaurant

• Lift/carry up to 30 lbs. (e.g., trays, bus tubs, furniture)

• Frequent bending, reaching, stooping, and pushing

• Comfortable working in varying conditions (crowded spaces, changing temperatures, indoors/outdoors)
