Bartender
Piccadilly Market - Lincoln Park is seeking a friendly, knowledgeable, and experienced Bartender to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hospitality-driven environment, enjoys engaging with guests, and is passionate about crafting quality cocktails, serving exceptional wine and beer, and delivering memorable experiences.
As a key part of the guest experience, you'll do everything from preparing classic and seasonal cocktails to recommending wine pairings and creating a welcoming atmosphere at the bar. Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & Hospitality
- Provide warm, knowledgeable, and attentive service to every guest.
- Welcome guests, build rapport, and create a welcoming, neighborhood atmosphere.
- Guide guests through our beverage menu, offering recommendations for cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Respond proactively to guest needs and resolve service situations with professionalism.
- Prepare classic and seasonal cocktails according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Pour beer, wine, and spirits accurately while maintaining consistency and presentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout each shift.
- Monitor product quality and freshness, including garnishes, juices, syrups, and mixers.
- Follow all local and state liquor laws, responsible alcohol service practices, and company policies.
- Operate the point-of-sale system and accurately process cash, credit, and debit card transactions.
- Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, stocking, and inventory duties.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, service stations, and guest-facing areas.
- Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and managers to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
- Support the overall success of the restaurant by contributing to a positive, team-oriented work environment.
- Menu knowledge of our prepared food, coffee, and bar menus as well as some knowledge and willingness to learn about wine.
- Minimum 2 years of bartending experience required.
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Passion for hospitality and exceptional guest service.
- Strong communication, multitasking, and attention to detail.
- Food Safety & Illinois BASSET certification (or ability to obtain before employment).
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Dependable, accountable, and team-oriented.
- Scheduled 3–5 shifts per week
- Evening availability required.
- Must be available to work at least two weekend days (Friday-Sunday), two weekday shifts (Monday-Thursday), and most holidays (including Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Years Eve, and New Years Day)
