Line Cook
S&CC is seeking a skilled and organized Line Cook to join our culinary team. This is a dynamic, working hourly role responsible for the precise preparation and execution of our à la carte and outlet menus.
In addition to executing high-quality dishes, this position offers leadership growth, occasionally acting as the shift supervisor to maintain efficient operations, ensure strict food safety compliance, and support a collaborative kitchen culture.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesStation Ownership: Setup, stock, and break down assigned stations or outlets efficiently, ensuring all par levels and utensils are prepared prior to service.
Culinary Execution: Prep and cook meats, vegetables, starches, sauces, and garnishes to order, maintaining the highest standards of presentation and flavor.
Shift Leadership: Actively supervise outlet operations during assigned shifts as needed, directing workflow and ensuring standards are met.
Inventory & Quality Control: Rotate stock daily to guarantee freshness, properly label/date all food components, and proactively notify leadership of any expected shortages.
Sanitation & Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout the shift; strictly adhere to all state and local health regulations.
Experience: 1–2 years of experience in a fast-paced, high-volume culinary environment. Culinary arts education is preferred but not required.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Communication: Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with the front-of-house and leadership teams.
Adaptability: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor.
