Night auditor laundry
About the Role
Move beyond the traditional front desk! Our Kiosk Assistant/Night Auditor role, will support the 24-hour manned kiosk system during night, AND is focused on vital nightly operations, property cleanliness, and smooth overnight transitions. We're seeking a dependable, proactive, and self-motivated individual who excels at keeping things organized and safe. This dynamic position involves working with the Kiosk associates and ensuring financial accuracy, maintaining safety protocols, performing light cleaning and laundry, and setting the hotel up for success each morning. If you enjoy a blend of operational oversight and hands-on tasks, this is the perfect fit. Common sense based 'judgement' is required if you find guest getting impatient with kiosk staff. Your role is to ensure smooth and positive guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
Audit & Administrative:
- Work closely with the Kiosk team. intervene when needed for positive guest experience
- Perform nightly financial audit tasks and reconcile transactions.
- Prepare daily reports and logs for the management team.
- Follow procedures for system resets and day-end processes.
- Track inventory for breakfast supplies and basic consumables.
- Update housekeeping task lists for morning staff.
Facility Support:
- Conduct routine property walk-throughs to ensure cleanliness and security.
- Vacuum, mop, and maintain lobby and hallway areas.
- Complete light laundry (wash, dry, fold) as needed during low-traffic hours.
- Maintain cleanliness of the breakfast area and restock supplies.
- Communicate guest service follow-ups or facility concerns to morning staff.
Safety & Security:
- Monitor property via security camera system.
- Respond calmly and appropriately to unusual activity, noise complaints, or safety issues.
- Ensure all doors and access points remain secure.
- Stay alert and awake for the duration of the shift.
Work Style Expectations
- Comfortable working independently, using tools such as our 24/7 kiosk system to manage check-ins and guest interactions. Adherence to policies is must.
- Willing to step away from the desk to complete operational tasks and light cleaning.
- Strong sense of responsibility, especially when working alone overnight.
- Pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and guest-ready environment.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Email), and office tools.
- Experience in hospitality, customer service, or overnight roles is a plus.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally and perform light physical tasks.
Work Environment
- Shift: 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Other Shifts are 3PM to 11PM or 7AM to 3PM.
- Weekends are required. Hours may be available across two shifts.
- Solo overnight work is common, with training and backup protocols in place.
- Light cleaning, walking the property, Inventory, and laundry duties are expected.
Workplace Conduct
To ensure a safe, professional, and attentive overnight environment, all Night Auditor & Operations Associates are expected to:
- Limit personal cell phone use to breaks or urgent/emergency communications only.
- Refrain from gaming, streaming videos, watching movies, or other non-work-related screen activities during shifts.
- Maintain alertness and focus on assigned duties throughout the entire shift.
