The Studio team at Okta is a growing group within Marketing, composed of creatives, strategists, producers and marketing managers alike. About this roleWe’re looking for a seasoned Manager, Digital Copywriting to lead and evolve the copy experience across Okta’s digital properties, including okta.com and auth0.com. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines copywriting excellence with people management, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration. You will manage a team of writers and work closely with UX, visual design, content strategy, SEO, product marketing, and development partners to drive narrative consistency, elevate user experiences, and push the boundaries of B2B storytelling. Reporting into our Digital Creative Director, this person will be a key leader on the team and partner closely with the design team to innovate and evolve our digital experiences.
What you will do- Lead a team of digital copywriters across web experiences, ensuring high-quality, cohesive, and brand-aligned storytelling.
- Partner with Design, UX, Strategy, and Product Managers on conceptual development, ideation, and execution across digital creative briefs
- Work cross-functionally with Brand Strategy, Digital Strategy, Content, Campaigns, Product Marketing, Development, SEO, Web Production, and Events to connect and bring to life brand and product stories on our digital experiences
- Partner with the lead UX manager to drive content strategy across all projects
- Lead their copywriting team in collaborating with designers to create innovative storytelling experiences
- Collaborate in Figma alongside designers to bring UX concepts to life through copy that is clear, engaging, and action-oriented.
- Leverage deep industry knowledge and a keen understanding of different audience types to write thoughtful and relevant copy across okta.com and auth0.com
- Establish and apply the Okta voice and tone across all work; ability to guide other writers / project owners on the voice and tone
- Lead the copywriters to tell product stories in a simple, interesting, and engaging way
- Coach and mentor junior writers, providing regular feedback, creative direction, and professional development opportunities
- QA content and manage editorial quality, ensuring all published work meets a high bar of clarity, tone, and technical accuracy.
- Support the team to create, concept, inspire others, and roll up your sleeves while bringing creative ideas to life; deliver and receive feedback
- Lead executive presentations to gain alignment
- Champion innovation and storytelling excellence, pushing creative boundaries to differentiate our brand in the tech space.
- BA in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field; BFA/creative writing background a plus.
- 10+ years experience in copywriting in a creative agency or client-side group, including 2+ years in a leadership or management role.
- Deep B2B/tech experience necessary, with strong understanding of cybersecurity or developer audiences preferred,
- Hands-on expertise in developing creative solutions on websites. Extraordinary copywriting skills and strong working knowledge of content strategy.
- Expertise in crafting narratives for websites and digital campaigns, with a strong portfolio that showcases your thinking and originality
- QA experience and attention to detail is essential

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between: $143,000—$215,000 USDBelow is the annual salary range for candidates located in Canada. Your actual salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, RRSP with a match, healthcare spending, telemedicine, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies.
