Bar Prep
Boka Restaurant Group and the Chicago Athletic Association are currently seeking a Bar Prep to join their team at Cindy's !
Please note this is a full-time position that should have open availability Monday to Thursday, with availability for a 5th day during the week. The ideal candidate should have some kitchen experience, particularly with knife cuts, and measuring liquids.General Description:
The Bar Prep is responsible for preparing the necessary ingredients and supplies for the bar, ensuring that the bartenders have everything they need for smooth and efficient drink service. This includes prepping garnishes, mixing base ingredients, stocking supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized prep station. The Bar Prep plays a vital role in supporting the bar team by ensuring that all products and materials are ready for use, helping to enhance the overall guest experience.

- Prepare garnishes (e.g., lemon wedges, olives, citrus peels) and ensure they are fresh and ready for use.
- Pre-mix drink bases, syrups, and juices as needed, ensuring the proper ratios and quality.
- Stock the bar with necessary ingredients, such as spirits, mixers, and other beverage items.
- Ensure all perishable items are stored properly and at the right temperature to maintain freshness.
- Restock and organize the bar area to ensure that bartenders can easily access supplies and ingredients.
- Keep inventory levels of bar supplies and communicate with the team when items need to be reordered.
- Keep storage areas clean, organized, and well-maintained, ensuring products are stored properly.
- Ensure that all prep areas are clean, sanitized, and organized according to health and safety guidelines.
- Wash and sanitize glassware, utensils, and bar equipment as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness in the back bar and storage areas to ensure a safe and hygienic working environment.
Physical Requirements
- Lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Safely and effectively use all necessary tools and equipment
- Stand and walk for an entire shift, including moving safely through all areas of the restaurant, which may include stairs, uneven and slick surfaces
