School Social Worker - $50-$55/hr - Markham, IL - In-Person - 21 WeeksPosition Overview:

The School Social Worker collaborates with the multidisciplinary team and provides input in the development of IHPs/IEPs for students requiring social-emotional intervention and support. This role includes delivering school-based social work services, supporting student well-being, and assisting in the coordination of services across educational environments.

Assignment Details:

Location: Markham, IL

Start Date: 02/23/2026

End Date: Approximately 21 weeks

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Hours: 35 hours per week

Pay Rate: $50-$55/hour

Modality: In-person

Openings: 1 position

Details of Assignment:

• Position split between an early childhood program and an elementary setting.

• Small caseload of students requiring social-emotional and behavioral support.

• Provides direct services, documentation, consultation, and collaboration with instructional staff as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide school-based social work services aligned with IHP/IEP goals.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to support student needs.

• Conduct assessments and contribute to IHP/IEP development.

• Provide behavioral, emotional, and crisis-support interventions when needed.

• Maintain documentation in alignment with state, federal, and professional standards.

• Support students and staff through consultation, problem-solving, and resource coordination.

Requirements:

• Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker (SSW) endorsement

• May require MSW or LCSW depending on state or contract guidelines

• Must comply with professional standards of practice

• CPR certification if applicable

• TB screening and current health certificate per state requirements

• Must meet all federal, state, and local regulations

• Must be at least 18 years of age
