Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Driver to join our team in a dynamic warehouse environment. This role involves unloading trucks, scanning items into inventory, lifting heavy objects, and assisting in various departments.

Responsibilities

• Operate stand-up order picker to pull and put away furniture.
• Unload trucks and scan items into inventory.
• Lift and carry furniture weighing 50+ lbs.
• Open boxes and unwrap sofas.
• Move furniture within the warehouse.
• Sweep and maintain cleanliness of the warehouse area.
• Assist other departments with tasks as needed.

Essential Skills

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Attention to detail and careful handling of goods.
• Capability to push, pull, lift, and carry moderate to heavy furniture for an 8-hour shift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Forklift experience is a plus.
• General labor experience in assembly, production, manufacturing, or warehouse settings.

Work Environment

Work in a large showroom with a spacious storage warehouse that is temperature controlled and well-maintained. The work schedule includes Monday to Thursday from 1:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Itasca, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
