Job Type: Full-time, Day Shift

Pay: Starting $18/hour

Location: Schaumburg, IL (onsite)

Position Overview :

This entry level maintenance position will assist in preserving the good condition and functionality of facilities and equipment, with a practical mind and attention to detail; while working autonomously and responsibly, observing all health and safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities :

• Monitor buildings and repair mechanical systems as instructed, to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards
• Read manuals to understand equipment and controls
• Disassemble machinery for maintenance or repair, when instructed
• Ensure machines oil and coolant are at specified levels
• Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.)
• Assist in the setup of machinery and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary
• General maintenance of heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
• Power washing, cleaning and/or use of chemicals as needed
• Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.)

Required Qualifications :

• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
• Good physical condition and strength
• High school diploma or equivalent, experience considered in lieu of
