Scale Operator
This is a full time position that will be responsible for the purchase of all public material at our Main Gilberts location. Hours are Monday- Friday from 6am to 3:30pm. You would be operating the scale for the public buy back customers on a day to day basis. Within this position you will be responsible for a wide array of duties including but not limited to:
· Providing daily customer service to all our customers at our facility
· Adhering to company policies in the area of safety, health, environment and community
· Maintain a safe work environment
· Maintain positive work relations
· Assist as needed in additional areas other than the scale
· Ensure we are purchasing all material appropriately and accurately for our customers
· Maintain a clean work station at all times
· Properly sort, break down, and load scrap metal according to specifications in a safe and productive manner
· Act as a team player with all other employees
· Ability to use a computer and learn our inventory system
· All other duties as assigned
Physical Demands
· Responsibilities primarily performed by standing / walking 100% of the time
· Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment up to 50 pounds
· Normal range of vision, depth perception and hearing is needed
· Ability to bend, stoop and reach above the shoulders is required
· The ability to work in both extreme heat and cold weather conditions is required
