AVP- Business Development-Property

How you'll make an impactThe AVP – Business Development will be responsible for developing and facilitating the property Single Parent and Cell opportunities. The AVP must have a thorough understanding of the property insurance landscape and marketplace , including carriers , prices, trends, coverage forms and coverage design. They must also have strong negotiation skills and be able to effectively communicate with brokers and clients . This position will require an extensive background in structuring and marketing large layered, and quota share property programs for varied industries.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expertise in alternative risk products to broker partners and both mid-market and large accounts.
- Identify client nee ds and develop custom solutions.
- Client-facing with a track record of working effectively with decision-makers within clients.
- Establish and develop emerging relationships with economic buyers of varying complexity .
- Provide technical competency to create innovative solutions.
- Establish credibility (knowledge/trust) both externally as well as internally.
- Possess senior executive client communication and negotiation skills (oral and written)
- C ommunicate market/industry perspectives and applications to specific client situations.
Qualifications and skills required :
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of proven experience .
- 3+ years of property program design and placement experience.
- Extensive knowledge and in-depth understanding of the insurance industry and our products and services.
- Experience within the insurance industry is required .
- Demonstrated capability to adhere to and champion the sales process.
