Overview

Sun Mechanical Systems is seeking a Service Sales & Account Manager to manage and grow our commercial HVAC service accounts. This role combines client relationship management, service agreement oversight, repair and project sales, and coordination with field operations, and is intended for professionals with developing to established experience in commercial HVAC service and client-facing roles.

This position is 100% on-site in St. Charles, IL and requires hands-on HVAC industry experience. Candidates must be able to reliably commute to or travel within the St. Charles area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing commercial clients, including Chief Engineers, Property Managers, and Owners.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned service accounts.
  • Conduct proactive business development outreach to generate leads, develop new client relationships, and expand assigned service accounts.
  • Conduct site visits to identify service, repair, and project opportunities.
  • Manage Scheduled Maintenance Agreements (SMAs), including estimating, selling, onboarding, renewals, and ongoing performance.
  • Analyze SMA profitability to meet Sun Mechanical’s margin standards.
  • Estimate, sell, and manage repair work and small service projects from quote through completion and payment.
  • Coordinate technician scheduling, parts and equipment ordering, subcontractors, and service logistics.
  • Review service tickets and follow up with technicians and clients as needed.
  • Support dispatch and operations to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Manage account receivables and assist with invoice follow-up.
  • Track all opportunities, quotes, and projects accurately in the CRM.
  • Attend industry events to build relationships and develop new business.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of HVAC industry experience.
  • Experience in HVAC service sales, account management, or service operations.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance agreements, service workflows, and repair/project coordination.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, on-site environment.
  • Comfortable working closely with technicians, dispatch, and operations teams.
  • Proficient with CRM and service management systems.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background check.
  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $60,000–$80,000, based on experience
