Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher is sought to support a middle school caseload in a self-contained classroom setting near Beach Park, IL. This position requires Illinois SPED credentials and offers a dynamic opportunity to work with middle school students in need of specialized educational support.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Special Education (SPED) credentials
- Experience managing a middle school caseload in a self-contained classroom environment
- Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and special education law
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with students, families, and educational teams
- Ability to implement tailored instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
Location:
- Near Beach Park, Illinois
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individualized instruction to meet the educational goals of students with special needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support personnel to enhance student outcomes
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior
- Participate in professional development and utilize mentorship opportunities to enhance teaching practices
