CNC Applications Engineer
Help shape the machines that build the world! Our client has spent over 50 years developing the smart machining solutions that power the aerospace, automotive, and medical industries. Based in Chicago, IL , this is a high-visibility role for a technical expert who wants to transition between the high-stakes world of pre-sales consultation and the technical precision of post-sales project engineering. You will be the primary technical authority, transforming customer blueprints into high-performing, real-world turnkey solutions.

Key Responsibilities: Pre-Sales Strategy & Consultation: Partner with the sales team to evaluate customer opportunities and machine assessments, developing complex turnkey proposals and manufacturing processes. Turnkey Solution Implementation: Lead the full lifecycle of project execution-developing cutting programs, tooling, and fixturing solutions to meet rigorous cycle-time targets. Technical Sales Support: Deliver high-impact product demonstrations, technical presentations, and precision time studies that highlight product strengths and differentiators. Liaison & Communication: Act as the primary technical point of contact between customers, sales teams, and internal engineering during every phase of project implementation. Training & Mentorship: Coordinate and lead advanced customer training sessions on programming and applications to ensure long-term client success and satisfaction.
