Accounting Manager - Construction | Sage 100
Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee our construction accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, specifically within the construction industry, and will be proficient in using Sage 100 for financial management. This role will ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with industry regulations while managing a team of accounting professionals. Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of accounting for construction projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Utilize Sage 100 for tracking project costs, invoicing, and financial reporting.
- Oversee the work of accounting staff, providing guidance and training as necessary.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure financial alignment on construction projects.
- Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Conduct audits and prepare documentation for external auditors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in Sage 100 is required; experience with Textura and Vertical is a plus.
- Strong understanding of construction accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
