- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.

- 3 months – 1 year of environmental services experience in a hospital organizations

- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Capable of operating heavy cleaning equipment such as floor machines, wet/dry vacuums, scrubbers and burnishes, etc.
- Ability to operate heavy cleaning equipment, stand and walk 67-100% of working day.
- Ability to climb and kneel 34-66% of working day.
- Ability to carry/lift items 10-25lbs 11-33%, 20-50lbs 34-66%, 50-75lbs 1-10% of working day.
- Ability to bend, twist, reach, pull climb, push throughout daily work to complete assigned schedule.
- Sweeps, dust mops, and wet mops.
- Vacuums, spot cleans walls, cleans glass / ledges.
- Sanitizes patient room surfaces, sanitizes bathroom.
- Performs discharge cleaning of patient rooms.
- Cleans equipment and notifies the supervisor or lead person of equipment requiring repair. Reports safety hazards to supervisor or lead person.
- Collects trash from patient rooms, nurses stations, ancillary areas.
- Cleans and sanitizes ancillary areas/
- Assists in cleaning of emergency spills observed or reported.
- Performs any other tasks, which may be assigned by the supervisor or lead person.
