Bartender

Emerald Loop Bar & Grill is a lively American-Irish bar & grill in the heart of downtown Chicago, steps from the Chicago Riverwalk and Chicago Theatre. Known for its warm hospitality, energetic atmosphere, craft beer selection, handcrafted cocktails, and elevated pub fare, it blends traditional Irish pub character with a modern downtown Chicago vibe. Popular for lunch, happy hour, dinner, game days, late nights, and outdoor patio dining, Emerald Loop offers a welcoming neighborhood feel in the middle of the city. We’re currently looking for Bartenders to join our front-of-house team.

Role & Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, engaging service to guests at the bar and throughout the restaurant
• Guide guests through food and beverage menus, including beer, cocktails, and specials
• Prepare and serve beer, cocktails, and spirits accurately and efficiently
• Maintain knowledge of draft beers, cocktails, and daily specials
• Ensure bar cleanliness, organization, and proper stocking throughout shifts
• Accurately process orders and payments using TOAST
• Monitor guest alcohol consumption and follow responsible service guidelines
• Work closely with servers and management to support smooth service
• Promote our rewards program with guests
• Promote our specials and offers to guests

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of previous bartending experience (high-volume experience a plus)
• Irish Pub bartending experience a plus
• Strong knowledge of beer, spirits, and classic cocktails
• Ability to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced environment
• Friendly, outgoing personality with strong guest service skills
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
