Electrical Engineering Technician II

Field Theory is seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician II to join our growing team of engineers. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual, willing to work in a fast-paced environment and skilled at handling multiple projects at any given time. This is a full-time position with a competitive market salary based upon experience. The position is only offered as fully onsite. Candidates for this role must provide documentation of work authorization. We offer a robust benefit package including paid time off, healthcare and 401k benefits.

In this role, the EET-II will have the following responsibilities:

· Collaborate with our engineering team for client projects

· Identifying and resolving malfunctions in electronic equipment and systems

· Assembling electronic systems and prototypes and cables for antennas

· Solder small components such as 0201 parts and BGAs

· Understanding of schematics and PCB layout

· Assisting engineering team in troubleshooting devices for EMC / EMI issues

· Creation of data reports

· Creation of test procedures

· Calibration of test equipment

· Conduct preventative maintenance services for key systems

Qualifications :

· Excellent problem-solving abilities with capability of troubleshooting

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· High attention to details as well as being self-driven and exceptionally organized

· Minimum 3-year experience with Electronics

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office

· Associate’s degree, EET / MET Certifications, or electronics training (such as provided in the military)

· IPC-A-610 Certification is a plus
