We’re searching for a full-time Chicago or Lehi, UT based Sr. Cloud Engineer to join our development team, so that we can ensure the smooth operation of all user-facing services and production systems within RLDatix. The Sr. Cloud Engineer will work collaboratively with the R&D teams to build, test, deploy and monitor our software while implementing leading practices to enhance availability, reliability, and scalability.
Because this is a hybrid position, only local candidates to Chicago or Lehi, UT will be considered.
How You’ll Spend Your Time
Design, build, and maintain core infrastructure that enables RLDatix scaling to support hundreds of thousands of concurrent users.
Be on an on-call (PagerDuty) rotation to respond to incidents that impact RLDatix’s availability and provide support for service engineers with customer incidents.
Build monitoring that alerts on symptoms rather than on outages.
Document every action so your findings turn into repeatable actions and then into automation.
Improve operational processes (such as deployments and upgrades) to make them as efficient as possible.
What Kind of Things We’re Most Interested in You Having
7+ years of working experience in a Cloud Engineering role working with AWS, Azure, or GCP
Proven success adapting to business changes, including new requirements, evolving goals and strategies, and learning emerging technologies
In-depth knowledge and significant hands-on working experience with Kubernetes and Terraform
Ability to commute to Chicago or Lehi, UT office 50% of the month
A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous learning and problem solving
A knack for working flexibly and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment
