Travel RN Job Details – Peoria, IL

• Location: Peoria, Illinois 61637
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (August 4, 2025 – November 3, 2025)
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2130 - $2190
• Unit: Surgical Acute Care (54 beds, 49 private rooms)
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 4-5 patients per RN (days)
• Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday required
• Floating: May float to similar acute care units as needed
• Dress Code: Scrubs, any color

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification (American Heart Association required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg or acute care RN experience
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR systems
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated critical thinking and ability to provide age-appropriate patient care

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to post-operative surgical, trauma, and overflow medical patients
• Perform wound care, dressing changes, IV therapy, pain management, and manage drains, NG tubes, central lines, and TPN
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, respond to changes, and escalate care as appropriate
• Document all care accurately in EPIC EMR
• Educate patients and families on self-care and home care procedures
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float to other acute care units as required, maintaining clinical competency and flexibility
