Responsibilities

Maintenance Associate |Franklin Park, IL| HIRING IMMEDIATELY

Compensation

• Starting pay rate from $26.65 - $33.81 per hour

• Eligible for annual & skill-based wage increases

Available Shifts

• 7:00 AM-7:00 PM (2-2-3 schedule) (every other weekend off)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Certified to operate a Forklift Truck, Scissors lift, Cherry Picker and Bobcat.

• Understand and use the hot work permit system.

• Understand the roles and actions of different individuals for plant emergency response.

• Understand the confined space policy and be able to identify permit and non-permit confined spaces in the plant.

• Trained to know and follow all plant and department safety rules and all PPE, Lockout Tagout procedures, MSDS Policy and Procedures, standard work practices and procedures.

• Trained to know location of asbestos and proper handling procedures.

• Know location of radio active devices and proper handling procedures.

• Understand plant fire protection system alarms and diesel pump.

• Knowledge of domestic water system and location of shutoff devices.

• Practice good housekeeping and clean up after all jobs.

• Compressed gas cylinder storage procedures.

• Assist mechanics when needed for repairs or fireguard etc.

• Work independently.

• Follow daily checklists with little supervision.

• Clean off all Shop Equipment: sweep/scrub/mop floor area, fill paper towel and soap dispensers as needed, empty garbage containers, empty scrap metal container, clean welding booth area, clean and organize library area.

• Assist Mechanics on machine repairs (lifting, cleaning, fire watch, painting).

• Comply with all Plant rules, safety rules, GMP and PPE guidelines and Department work instructions.

• Work as directed by Department Supervisor and as assigned by shift Lead.

• Perform housekeeping duties.
