We are seeking a Clinical Research Recruitment Coordinator to join our team in a part-time (minimum ~20 hours per week) or full-time capacity. This role is ideal for a healthcare professional who enjoys patient interaction, understands medical history and medications, and is motivated by helping patients access clinical research opportunities.
Work Environment
This is an on-site position with standard business hours (Monday–Friday). Schedule may be structured as part-time or full-time, with consistent days week to week. As a small research site, our team values flexibility, ownership, and collaboration—team members take initiative and contribute across functions to support patient care and study success.
Position Overview
The Clinical Research Recruitment Coordinator plays a central role in patient enrollment and engagement. This position blends:
✔ Patient recruitment and phone pre-screening
✔ Patient communication and follow-up
✔ Recruitment marketing and community outreach support
✔ Administrative and site support tasks as needed
This role often serves as the first point of contact for potential participants and requires comfort discussing medical history, medications, and health conditions in a professional and patient-centered manner.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment & Phone Pre-Screening
a. Conduct outreach calls and follow-up with potential participants
b. Perform pre-screening interviews using inclusion/exclusion criteria
c. Review medical history, medications, and basic health conditions
d. Educate patients on study expectations and coordinate scheduling
2. Patient Engagement & Support
a. Serve as the primary non-clinical contact throughout the participant journey
b. Answer questions, support retention, and assist with clinic flow as needed
3. Marketing & Outreach
a. Assist with recruitment-focused marketing efforts (social media, email, flyers, and outreach materials)
b. Create basic digital content using Canva or similar tools
c. Support community outreach initiatives, including preparation for health fairs, local events, or informational sessions
d. Provide on-site support at outreach events as needed to assist with set-up, attendee engagement, and recruitment awareness
e. Track recruitment sources and contribute ideas to improve enrollment
4. Data & Site Operations Support
a. Maintain accurate recruitment records and screening outcomes
b. Assist with basic administrative tasks such as data entry, scanning/uploading, and log maintenance
c. Support supply tracking and general site operations as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Healthcare background (MA, CNA, clinical assistant, or similar patient-facing experience)
2. Comfortable discussing medications and medical history over the phone
3. Comfortable making frequent outbound calls and building rapport with a wide range of patients
4. Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
5. Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn new systems
6. Team-oriented and willing to assist with routine operational tasks as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Prior experience in clinical research or patient recruitment
2. Familiarity with inclusion/exclusion criteria and screening protocols
3. Experience with digital marketing, social media, or content creation

Compensation:
1. Hourly rate: $22-$28 per hour, depending on experience.
