Your shift and pay

Shift: 2nd Shift (4:00 PM–12:30 AM)
Salary: $24–$30 per hour

A day in the life

When the second shift starts, you’ll log into the ERP, review your work orders and flow sheets, and study the part drawings to plan your setup. You’ll pull and verify material from the staging area per WOPAC, load and confirm the correct tools and fixtures, and when necessary, fabricate simple fixtures to keep the job moving. With vices aligned and fixture centers located, you’ll upload or download CNC programs from the programmer to the machine and run a clean first article for Quality Assurance.

Throughout the run, you’ll check blueprint dimensions with manual gauges, conduct in-process inspections, and keep production parts flowing. You’ll keep your area organized using 5S principles, perform daily and monthly preventive maintenance on your machines, and communicate progress or roadblocks to your Supervisor so jobs finish on time. You’ll support all safety and quality system requirements, take on additional duties as assigned, and maintain the standards expected in a safety-sensitive position .

What you’ll handle

• Log time and job data in ERP software
• Interpret work orders, flow sheets, and part drawings
• Inspect blueprint dimensions using manual gauges
• Load/verify tools and fixtures; fabricate basic fixtures when needed
• Pull and confirm materials from staging per WOPAC
• Set up and operate 3-axis mills and perform basic 2-axis lathe work
• Upload/download CNC programs from programmer to machine
• Align vices and accurately locate fixture centers
• Submit first article and final inspections to Quality Assurance
• Run production parts with in-process inspections
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace using 5S
• Complete daily and monthly machine preventive maintenance
• Collaborate with the Supervisor to ensure successful job completion
• Support all safety and quality system requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned

What you bring

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Basic proficiency using ERP systems
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in: CNC machining; blueprint reading; use of manual inspection gauges; editing and writing CNC programs
• Solid math skills; trigonometry preferred
• Ability to stand for extended periods

Pay transparency

The pay range for this role is $24–$30. Final base pay is influenced by the scope and responsibilities of the position, your experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, and current market and business conditions. If authorized to work outside the listed location, a geographic pay adjustment may apply based on the specific city and state.
