Senior Cash Application Specialist

:

Daily application of customer payments and account reconciliations; Work closely with collections team to efficiently and effectively resolve all cash application issues. Essential Job Functions

• Posting and balancing of daily cash receipts, both manual entry and automated uploads
• Reconciliation of cash receipts to daily deposits and balancing of batches
• Reconciliation of accounts to match what customer paid versus what has been poste
Investigate old cash postings and offsets and determine how to match to customer
• 's AP
• Resolve and apply unidentified receipts daily, contacting customers for remittance
• Convert remittances into Excel format from .pdfs
• Maintain and follow adopted internal SOX controls for audit purposes
• Provide support for various Finance and Collections personnel
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Good organizational skills
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Understanding of debits and credits and basic accounting
• Well versed in Office and able to use Adobe to convert remittances into Excel format
• Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills with the ability to interface with customers and internal personnel
• Team player, high energy with good math and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and learn quickly
• 3 - 5 years of work experience in cash applications, ideally in a high volume environment
• Minimum of an Associates in Finance or Accounting, ideally Bachelors degree

Salary: $25.25- $27.00/hour
