Quality Inspector

Overview
This role supports the production of specialized vehicle systems by ensuring quality standards, inspection procedures, and customer requirements are consistently met. The Quality Technician works closely with internal teams and external partners to maintain high-quality output and smooth production flow. This position contributes directly to building reliable, rugged, and mission?ready products.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality procedures, processes, and Completed Vehicle Inspection Standards (CVIS) are followed throughout production.
• Work directly with customers and government oversight personnel to support product acceptance and audit activities.
• Support the Quality Manager with special projects and ongoing quality initiatives.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and other departments to resolve issues and maintain workflow.
• Assist with incoming inspection of supplied parts and materials.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Quality or a related field is a plus but not required.
• 3–5 years of experience in a quality, manufacturing, or inspection role is helpful but not required.
• Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Familiarity with Total Quality Tools and Continuous Improvement practices is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong initiative, organization, and problem?solving abilities.
• Ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal form.
• Military vehicle training experience is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to read screens, reports, and documents with clarity (close and distance vision, color perception, and focus adjustment).
• Ability to hear and communicate effectively.
• Regular hand?eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling tools, equipment, and paperwork.
• Frequent bending, stretching, twisting, reaching, and movement throughout production areas.
• Occasional climbing, kneeling, stooping, or crawling.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to perform physical tasks for extended periods, including standing or sitting for long durations.

Working Conditions

• Work is split between office and manufacturing environments.
• Exposure to varying temperatures, weather conditions, heights, and intermittent loud noise.
• Work requires strong teamwork, attention to instructions, and consistent focus.
• Tasks follow a structured, methodical process and may involve repetitive responsibilities in a fast?paced setting.

Travel Requirements

• Occasional local travel between assigned facilities.
