We are seeking a paralegal, legal assistant, or paralegal student to join our mission-driven team. If you are a proactive problem solver with strong drafting skills, an eye for detail, and a passion for supporting families, this role is for you.
At Clancy & Associates, we do more than practice law—we bring peace of mind to families navigating complex legal, financial, and life-planning decisions for their loved ones with disabilities. Our firm specializes in special needs planning, estate planning, and guardianship, with a strong focus on client-centered service and community support.
About the Role
As a member of our legal support team, you will play an important role in delivering exceptional service to our clients. You will support attorneys through drafting assistance, document review, client communication, and case coordination, helping ensure families feel informed, supported, and confident throughout the legal process. This position is open to applicants located in the Chicago metropolitan area only.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and prepare legal documents including wills, trusts, special needs trusts, deeds, and powers of attorney
- Review and edit documents with accuracy and attention to detail
- Assist attorneys with scheduling and client communication
- Maintain and organize client files with precision
- Communicate with clients to collect information and provide updates
- Use legal technology tools (Clio preferred) to streamline workflows
Requirements

- Estate Planning Experience – Highly preferred, but not required
Benefits
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $56,000 – $65,000 per year, based on experience
- $1,500 Signing Bonus:
- $500 at 30 days;
- $500 at 60 days;
- $500 at 90 days and successful completion of the probationary period.
