Job Opportunity: Temporary Purchasing Specialist Our client, a leader in their industry, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Temporary Purchasing Specialist to join their procurement team. This is a vital support role focused on keeping the supply chain moving by ensuring materials and services arrive exactly when they are needed.

Key Responsibilities Procurement & Order Management

• Generate and process purchase orders for a variety of materials, components, and services.

• Monitor open orders and proactively expedite late or urgent shipments to maintain production schedules.

• Review purchase requisitions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company approvals.

• Maintain ERP data health and manage Advanced Shipping Notices (ASN).

Administrative & Reporting Support

• Maintain organized purchasing records, supplier files, and critical documentation.

• Prepare reports on material availability, supplier performance, and open order status.

• Contribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives to streamline operations.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma required; a degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.

• Experience: 1–2 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or high-level administration (relevant internships are welcomed).

• Technical Skills: * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook).
  • Previous experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor) is a significant plus.

• Core Competencies:
  • Detail-Oriented: A "measure twice, cut once" approach to data and accuracy.

  • Problem-Solver: The ability to troubleshoot delivery issues independently.

  • Communicator: strong interpersonal skills with a customer-service mindset.

  • Adaptable: Comfortable shifting priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

salary: $19.5 - $24.5 per hour
