• Location: Peoria, IL 61605 (Illinois travel nursing job)
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Rehab Unit
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 09/08/2025 – End: 12/08/2025)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,130 - $2,190 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois or Michigan (required for travel nurse jobs in the Midwest)
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification (required for healthcare jobs)
• High School Diploma or GED; BSN preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a rehabilitation or acute care setting
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Microsoft applications preferred

RN Responsibilities – Acute Rehab Unit

• Deliver high-quality nursing care by practicing at the top of RN licensure in an acute rehab setting
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate patient care
• Assess and support patients’ physical and psychological needs; provide compassionate care to patients and families
• Mentor and support assigned nursing staff; promote evidence-based best practices
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance with healthcare protocols
• Lead and organize nursing functions, including assessment, planning, and documentation
• Delegate responsibilities appropriately and advocate for patients within the interdisciplinary team
• Educate patients and families to support health and recovery goals
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to achieve clinical excellence
• Maintain a safe, clean, and service-oriented healthcare environment
• Engage in ongoing professional development and utilize current evidence-based practices
