Key Job Details – Med/Surg Telemetry RN

• Location: Gallatin, TN 37066 (Greater Nashville Area – Tennessee nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Medical/Surgical Telemetry Unit (Adult & Geriatric Population)
• Assignment Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Nursing Contract
• Start Date: August 25, 2025
• End Date: November 24, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Orientation: Weekly, every Monday
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1800 - $1840 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or compact state (required for Tennessee healthcare jobs)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (must be current prior to start)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Proficient in IV insertion and clinical support skills
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• Clear Tennessee Abuse Registry background check
• Ability to float to Med/Surg units as needed

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments using Omnicell medication dispensing system
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech EHR system
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary healthcare team members, and support staff
• Provide compassionate patient education and support to patients and families
• Maintain a safe, clean clinical environment in compliance with hospital policies and procedures
