Adjunct Faculty - Biology AY25-26

Adjuncts are hired on a course basis each term.
Salary Range for Adjuncts teaching in this academic area is $500.00 - $4,500.00 per course.
G overnors State University’s College of Arts and Sciences seeks to create an available pool of Adjunct Faculty candidates to teach Biology courses in the D ivision of Science, Mathematics and Technology. At Governors State University, adjunct faculty are hired as temporary faculty with teaching responsibilities for a specific course in a semester or summer session. Adjuncts are not tenure-track, not a part of the faculty bargaining unit, and are not included in membership of faculty Senate.Required and Preferred Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Biology or related field.
- PhD in Biology
- Experience teaching college level Biology.
- Professional experience in the Biology or Environmental Biology, fields.
- Experience in teaching Physiology.
- Professional experience in Biology such as Research or Consulting.
